Wheelchair Bearings
Wheel bearings make a huge difference on how your wheelchair rides. If you are experiencing fluttering, tracking issues, squeaking, or wobbling when your wheelchair is on the move, it usually indicates that you have old and corroded bearings.
Most wheelchair caster wheels and propulsion wheels have replaceable bearings. Replacing these bearings is fairly simple and you should notice an improvement in your chair’s performance after the installation is complete.
Southwest Medical recommends that you service your wheelchair’s bearings once per year and replace bearings as needed.
